Multiple endocrine neoplasia 2A (MEN2A), an autosomal dominant genetic syndrome caused by germline mutation in RET proto-oncogene, associates medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC), pheochromocytoma (PHEO) and primary hyperparathyroidism (HPT).
